Find Your Calm


The following includes some initial tips for finding your calm

Breathing – Deep breathing enhances the parasympathetic nervous system which controls your rest, relax, and digestive response. When the parasympathetic nervous system is in a dominant state, you will start to feel calm.

Meditation – Find time to ground yourself and clear your mind. Even if it’s for only two minutes it’s a great exercise to set yourself up for a better day.

Be grateful – Find at least one thing to be grateful for each day. Practicing gratefulness has been shown to enhance empathy and reduce stress.

Coloring – Coloring is not just for kids! Studies have shown that coloring has the ability to relax the fear center of the brain. Grab your pencils or crayons and get started today!
